Career Fellows - Credit Analyst Training Program

Fellows’ participants will complete a two-year rotation in various departments of The Harbor Bank of Maryland (and its affiliates), gaining an understanding of the Bank’s mission and work, while building a strong credit foundation, enhancing skills in analytical thinking, and developing technical underwriting skills through our CATP (Credit Analyst Training Program). The Credit Analyst training program curriculum is designed to: jumpstart a challenging career as a credit professional, provide participants with exposure to the commercial real estate lending arena, and develop future leaders within the banking industry.

Senior Credit Analyst 

Under general supervision, but according to established policies and procedures, responsible for analyzing and monitoring the credit worthiness of the Bank’s clientele. Analyzes financial statements, tax returns, and bank references to evaluate the financial condition of individuals and businesses applying for credit with the Bank. Recommends credit lines within the established guidelines.

FT Tellers/CSR (Various locations/Floater)

CSR/Teller performs a broad variety of customer services such as opening new checking, savings, and certificate accounts; handling savings bonds transactions, and answering questions concerning services provided by the bank from customers and branch staff. Sets up tele-transfer, direct deposit, cross-sells services, performs a variety of account maintenance, opens IRA/Keogh retirement accounts, and drafts letters and correspondence. Must have two years of heavy cash handling experience, 1-2 years of Teller experience preferred.
